Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman holds an distinguished chair in psychology in the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. Her name has been recognized for pioneering the study of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory within legal contexts. Professor Goodman, who has a wide range of research publications as well as numerous grants to her name, is also the recipient of numerous international and national prizes. She has worked with many government agencies and institutions all over the world to conduct studies and policy issues pertaining to children who are victims of the legal system. She is also a consulting for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is the founder of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
