Anoushka Shankar is a British and American sitar player. She also sings. She was the youngest and first woman to receive the British House of Commons Shield she's had nine Grammy Awards nominations and was the first artist of Indian origin to play live and to be a presenter for the ceremony. Anoushka Shakar, who is just a emerging singer on Indian Sitar is Anoushka. She is a scholar and granddaughter of legendary Ravi Shankar. She was born London in 1982, and the first few years of her life she was split between London New Delhi. When she was 13 she performed her first show in New Delhi. Then she moved in Encinitas CA, where she earned her High School diploma with honors in 1999. Anouskha even though she is just 17 years old, has had a successful performing and recording career.
